Nasinu Town Council’s Health Section focusses on improvements and inspections of food establishments, premises ensuring that there is compliance with Public Health laws and regulations. It oversees the sanitary services of the town and looks after the health and sanitary issues within Nasinu Town Council boundary. The Health Section also plans actions and initiatives that assist in the preventative measures of communicable diseases, hygiene, food safety, rodents and vector control. |

The Council is working closely and is dependent on Ministry of Agriculture to help curb the stray dog issue. The current method is ‘Trap-Neuter and Release’ which controls future population but will not eradicate the current stray dog issue immediately. Given the dog pound limitations, Council is conducting dog trapping exercises from Mondays to Wednesdays only.
